The PSW-24-850W Switch has twenty-four 802.3at(PoE+) ports with two 10G SFP+ ports in a standard rack mountable enclosure. The real difference is what lies inside. External power can be connected with redundant AC inputs for connecting two independent power sources creating uninterrupted power to the unit. The 850W also has three redundant 300-watt power supply units inside. The system itself uses only 50 of those watts, balancing the load between the three PSU for longer life, and leaving an 850 watt power budget for connected devices. Since the load is balanced between all three power supplies, one could fail and the device would continue to function. As is the expectation for all Peplink devices, the SD Switch can keep running even when something unexpected happens.
Peplink also includes its robust InControl2 cloud management software. InControl2 allows remote management of all SD Switches and other Peplink devices. VLAN Managers can remotely configure ports, check and manage power, and troubleshoot problems from anywhere in the world. Each device on the network can be instantly searched and identified to diagnose problem connections and peripherals. Peplink even has an app that will allow monitoring, control, and troubleshooting of an entire network from a smartphone.
