Now with zSeries and VTS attachment capability, the IBM TotalStorage 3584 Tape Library leverages the drive technology of the 3592 tape drive model J1A and a high availability accessor feature in an Enterprise-class tape automation system. For Open systems environments, Linear Tape-Open (LTO), as well as the IBM TotalStorage 3592 Tape Drive Model J1A, can be mixed, by frame, within the same library. The 3584 has been designed to address the needs of customers seeking solutions for data archiving, backup, disaster recovery, and other storage needs.
