The Hewlett-Packard Visualize J2240 Workstation uses HP's PA-8200 64-bit processor operating at 236MHz.

Alhough similar to the J282 in that it offers dual processing, it is worth noting that the J282 comes standard with a single processor which may be upgraded to dual whereas the J2240 comes standard as a dual processing system.

The system bus has a 64-bit design and has performance quoted by the vendor at 960 MB/sec (peak) or 768 MB/sec (peak sustained).

The base system supports up to two (one 4GB and one 9GB) internal fixed disk drives . Also supported internally are up to two removable media devices (CD-ROM, 4GB 4mm DDS-2 tape drive, 12/24GB 4mm DDS-3 tape drive or floppy drive).

The system includes five total expansion slots in the configuration of 3 x PCI and 2 x PCI/GSC.
