The compact 3-rack-unit Cisco RF Switch is a multiplexing switch that can reroute any of the RF cables connected to active Cisco universal broadband router line cards or Cisco broadband processing engines to a spare set of backup cards. The RF Switch supports more than 250 coaxial connections. With the Cisco uBR10012 and Cisco uBR7246VXR, the RF Switch provides a fully redundant system that helps cable operators achieve PacketCable system availability, minimize service disruptions, and simplify operations.
