The Cisco ONS 15801 long-haul dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system is a field proven, Internet scale, carrier class optical transport platform that allows service provider and enterprise customers to maximize the use of installed fiber over long-haul transmission distances. With extremely low start-up cost and low life cost, the ONS 15801 is an extremely economical way to increase bandwidth over existing fiber infrastructure and provides the ability to scale from one to 64 channels of 2.5 or 10 Gbps traffic.
