Traverse City Companies Expand, Chamber Sees Signs of Economic Rebound
With assistance from your Chamber, Frontier Computer Corporation and Grand Traverse Container were both unanimously approved by East Bay Township officials for a total of $2.7 million in expansion projects on Monday night. These projects will retain 47 jobs and create 37 new jobs. Fellow Chamber-member businesses will be impacted in the areas of new construction, office supplies, machinery, and communications, just to name a few.
You can meet one of the involved companies, Frontier Computer Corporation, at the Small Business Celebration Candidates' Showcase on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at NMC's Hagerty Center. The Chamber's 2010 Small Business Celebration has already set records for most nominations and most applicants in its six-year history, another barometer of an improving business climate.
