Steve Hawn, President and CEO

Since joining Frontier in 1994 as a member of the sales team, Steve served in a number of leadership positions until being named President and CEO by the board of directors in 2008. He’s a student of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. As CEO, Steve has guided and defined the principles – specifically an emphasis on teamwork – responsible for Frontier’s steady growth in recent years. A hands-on leader, Steve’s day-to-day responsibilities include energetically overseeing all aspects of the corporation and sharing his passion to make Frontier exceed its expectations. When not at work, he can often be found working on a home improvement project or playing with the family’s golden retrievers. A family man, Steve cherishes his time with his wife and two young daughters.

 

Benjamin Ingwersen, Vice President

Product Manager, HP-Alpha, Storageworks, ProLiant

Benjamin is one of Frontier’s longest tenured team members, joining the staff in 1994 along with Steve Hawn. He’s responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s sales  and also serves as product manager for HP, Alpha, Storageworks and Proliant. Benjamin’s a self-taught, energetic entrepreneur who jumped into the IT business at the age of 18 and has loved it ever since. His creative thinking and leadership have enabled Frontier to offer diverse solutions to major clients IT problems. To relax, Benjamin enjoys music, horsepower toys and spending time with his wife, three daughters and son.

John Matthews, Chief Financial Officer

John is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Degree in Finance & Accounting, and brings over 20 years’ experience in financial and operational management to Frontier. He served as the Chief Operating Officer for two manufacturing companies headquartered in the U.S., overseeing facilities in the United States, Mexico and Europe. Prior to his Operational service, he was the Chief Financial Officer for an investment company in South Florida. John is a passionate executive who believes that a company’s success is dependent on the dedication and cohesiveness of its Team. His private time is spent with his son and daughter because he has learned through the years that true quality of life comes from finding a balance between work and home.

Gene Sauter, Enterprise Solution Architect

The founder of Processing Concepts Limited, Gene brought his many years of expertise to the Frontier team when PCL was purchased in 2009. As an Enterprise Solution Architect, he is dedicated to making Frontier’s business grow through his efforts in innovative systems design and implementation for clients. A private pilot, Gene has earned a BFA from the University of Notre Dame and a MSCS from DePaul University.

William Sauter, Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

A key member of Processing Concepts Limited before joining Frontier in 2009, William is responsible for planning and implementing information technology, making IT a strategic asset and business enabler. While he’s a Microsoft Certified Professional and Proxim Certified Wireless Engineer, William has the ability to adapt to advances in technology rapidly without formal training. He and his wife Anna are the parents of two boys.

Greg Bright, Director of Operations

An experienced multi-tasker, Greg Bright oversees product auditing and testing, the filling of sales orders, the team of technical engineers, inbound and outbound warehouse operations, building maintenance and special tasks. He’s a firm believer in the team concept that the company embraces and credits that philosophy with making Frontier a vibrant, growing company. A graduate of Northwestern Michigan College, Greg was named Frontier’s Employee of the Year for 2008. When not working, he enjoys hunting and spending family time with wife Tiffany and their two daughters and son.

Paul Wieland, Senior IBM Account Manager

Paul works with end-users, brokers and maintenance companies as a resource for acquiring and disposing of IBM hardware. A Northern Illinois University grad, he is responsible for developing vendor and customer relationships, managing and maintaining inventory and assisting the retail sales representatives.

Richard Koenders, Managing Director at FrontierBV in the Netherlands

Richard is responsible for all strategic and operational activities at Frontier’s office in the Netherlands. His years of experience and 100 percent dedication to his job make him a valuable employee. Richard is very proud of making FrontierBV profitable for several years despite working in a difficult business climate.

Harold Koenders, Sales Marketing and Purchasing at FrontierBV

Harold started his career in the Music Industry in the early 80’s as a Sales Representative for musical instruments and Audio equipment. He later joined the management team of the 25 Staff Music Instruments, and shortly became Vice President, and then moving on to General Manager (CEO) in his sixteen years with the Company.

Harold has traveled worldwide introducing his new guitar line and a full tube guitar amplifier with world-wide sales. This has allowed Harold to build production facilities in China and Korea. His 25 years as a user of IBM as400 platforms with responsibility for purchasing and installation Network Administrator responsibilities assists with his sales knowledge. He also comes to us with experience in exporting and importing laws and procedures.

In his private time, Harold loves to spend time with his “Childhood love” Gerita and their three children, Rachel, Robin and Filine.

Sean O'Neill, Managing Director, FrontierUK

Sean moved into the IT industry working for a brokerage house in the UK that soon became market leaders throughout Europe. In the 12 years he grew an in depth knowledge of IBM specifically the Pseries platform along with storage. A new challenge was asked of Sean early in 2010, to start up and run the UK division of Frontier. To be part of the Frontier family was something that could not be turned down. Sean, along with his partners, are looking forward to making FrontierUK a great success. Sean is a family man, married to Melanie; they have three wonderful children. Sean loves music and still tries to find time to hit the dance floor now and then.

Alex Leigh, Business Development Director, FrontierUK

Coming from an end-user facing sales background, Alex joined the IT industry in 1999 as an IBM RS6000 Broker. In 2005, after years of continual growth, he became the Sales Manager for a multi-national company, managing a team of Sales people that included offices in the UK, France and Poland. In the summer of 2009 Alex went to work for a UK Reseller to set up a Resale division of their Asset Management arm. During this time Alex realized that he missed the more entrepreneurial element of Midrange/Enterprise IT sales and so it wasn’t a difficult decision to become part of the Frontier family. Alex serves FrontierUK as a Business Development Director.
